Alex Jamieson instructed for Lucy Letby Inquiry

Alex Jamieson is instructed on behalf of two groups of bereaved families granted Core Participant status for the Lucy Letby Inquiry.

Today, 16 May 2024, Lady Justice Thirlwall will hold the first public preliminary hearing of her statutory public inquiry at Chester Racecourse. The details and arrangements for the hearing can be found on the Inquiry's website here

The Inquiry's terms of reference were settled following the convictions of Lucy Letby and are set out here. They include the investigation of whether suspicions about Letby should have been raised and acted upon earlier; and whether the Countess of Chester Hospital Trust’s culture, management and governance structures and processes contributed to the failure to protect children.
