Not Guilty verdicts in Operation Angel

Dermot Keating and Sushil Kumar (instructed by JD Spicer), and Neil Baki (instructed by the Johnson Partnership), secured not guilty verdicts on conspiracy to defraud and conspiracy to money launder in a national trading standards prosecution that lasted 6 months and involved in excess of 300 witnesses.They represented two of the six defendants, including the first on the indictment.The alleged conspiracies took place over a 5 year period from 2010 and concerned in excess of £13m of purported criminal proceeds. Operation Angel was one of the largest ever National Trading Standards prosecutions.
