Peter Doyle QC secures half time acquittal in multiple stabbing case

Peter Doyle QC instructed by Hickman and Rose secures half time acquittal in multiple stabbing case. The defendant was alleged to be a secondary party to a stabbing to which the principals had pleaded guilty. Despite What's App messages between the defendants consistent with a group planned knife attack on Mr A and evidence that the group had travelled together with knives to carry out that attack it was successfully submitted applying R v Jogee that there was no case to answer because the principals had attacked Mr A's brother who was not foreseen by the defendant as a target and in respect of which attack there was no evidence that he had assisted or encouraged it.
