Treble acquittal in murder case

On 23rd April Damien Carnegie, represented by Paul Mendelle QC and Sebastian Gardiner (instructed by Kirsty Monighan of Edward Fail Bradshaw and Waterson) and Kestrel Dyer, represented by Courtney Griffiths QC and Arlette Piercy (instructed by Keith Hollywood at Moss & Co) were both acquitted of the murder of Ashley Latty who was fatally stabbed at a party in Dagenham in May of last year.

Carnegie was also acquitted of attempted GBH. Dyer's then girlfriend - Aimee Penfold, represented by Harry Potter and Matt Radstone (instructed by Ruben Italia of Duncan Lewis) was acquitted of Attempting to Pervert the Course of Justice, the allegation being that she had assisted Dyer escape from the scene of the attack.
